Our business is built on a strong foundation of industry leaders. While we primarily focus on serving interior design business owners and their support teams with tailored content from a trusted Studio Designer expert, we also service clients and business owners in other industries.
One of the newest additions to my list of client industries is short term rentals. This is something almost anyone can get into as long as they have cash and/or credit.
The majority of my tax and long term clients have owned and operated the typical residential, single family rentals, which is actually a great business but vastly differs from short term rentals and almost always doesn't produce the largest returns.
This is also an industry in which books (if one even creates them or hires someone to create them) is not always set up correctly. The goals I have in this industry are to do financial set up and educate the owners partnerships on the process so we can focus on the long term goals.
Long term goals can be obtaining additional properties or just paying off and outright owning the single property.
This industry and the set up of financials is the second highest percentage of books that would never pass audit.
The majority of short term rental property owners do NOT need a management company to run their business or properties. A successful owner can manage multiple properties from close of escrow to on going maintenance by partnerships with the right vendors and proper financial set up. Take care of the asset that will also earn revenue!
For many years, I've dedicated myself to training hundreds of individuals in the art of effectively overseeing and maintaining the financial aspects of a variety of businesses.
I have spent thousands of training hours and shared screen calls with businesses worldwide but this is the first time I am putting out my very own course.

A retail location encompasses a wide range of businesses but the concept is the same.
We are purchasing or manufacturing goods to sell or providing services from a specific location, open to the public.
The business model is straight-forward but the business management side of things isn't always thought out for a new business owner.
