Time Tracking vs. Time Billing

The great debate....time tracking. How much of your time is billable? And what percentage of your team's work is billable to clients vs the amount that you absorb as part of your operating expense? Regardless of whether you opt to use consultants or hire employees, whether you are flat fee to clients or set salary for an employee, understanding where your time and efforts are being used and what portion you should be accounting for in your bottom dollar. How do you know what the profit is on the project for internal staff? Knowing the difference in what your team (or your expenses) are not working for you. How do you know what you can afford for help if you aren't tracking time? As a business owner, with no help, wouldn't you still want to know how much time you are spending to get things done and what it takes to keep your business afloat? In this video, I walk over entering time, information on reports and how to properly enter these as activities in Studio Designer.

Youtube analytics is showing me that the watch time and searches are Studio Designer users and that my niche is Interior Designers and Architect Firms. I tried to broaden the spectrum of business owners to show that regardless of industry, I could make Studio Designer your single software subscription for finance and business management needs but this continues to push me towards the original "bread and butter" which make up the largest industry I service, INTERIOR DESIGN. I was featured in the DLN Newsletter and the watch time on my Youtube and calls booked on my site reaffirms the restructure of how I do business and service the masses. Because of the amount of time it takes to create and edit the videos (still all currently done by yours truly), I am going to start uploading the raw footage of my tutorials and continue to push forward and work on "perfection" later.
